Highlights from 2011:

SF MECCA IMMERSION 2010 was such a blast! Thanks to dancers who journeyed from around the globe to immerse with us  for 6 full days in San Francisco. And to all the teachers, performers, collaborators, and artists who helped make the week a whopping sucess for our 3rd straight year. Teachers, students, and professional belly dancers from all over Adelaide attended the recent weekend workshops with Deb Rubin at Belly Dance Amethyst. An acclaimed tribal fusion dance from San Francisco, Deb has a holistic approach to dance and stretched local dancers’ minds as well as their bodies.
Claire McDonald participated in the workshops. Here are her impressions:
“It was ultimately the most valuable weekend of dance workshops I have attended. I was both challenged and inspired, leaving the weekend on a high, despite the aching muscles and overwhelmed brain cells. The balance of dance technique, theory, body care, and creativity kept the 12 hours interesting and moving at an engaging pace. I found dance therapeutics to be the gem of the weekend. Deb imparted vital knowledge of looking after our bodies in our daily lives and caring for them as our tool of trade. Deb’s energy and generosity to share her vast array of knowledge was overwhelming. She has an art of embracing the variety in the group, so that all dancers feel that they gain from the experience and no skill level was more valued than another. ”

Join Deb's Monthly Training Groups! (NEW FORMAT!)

Deb is now hosting monthly training groups, to directly support your commitment to your own dance growth and daily practice.  You don't have to live in the San Francisco Bay Area to participate! Now available through the internet for everyone, all over the world. From her 10 years of experience working as a health counselor and wellness coach, inspiring and supporting people to make healthy changes in their lives, Deb knows that key elements to creating lasting change in a pattern are having accountability and support. Whether it be food/nutrition, exercise, or shifting emotional patterns, having a support system, a weekly check-in appointment, journalling, and a coach to track your progress can be instrumental in your development. Now, Deb is applying those same principles to her Tribal Fusion Belly Dance students!  She has designed a unique 'daily practice' program to help take your technique training, drilling, yoga, and bellydance to the next level!  Based on your group's goals for the month, your letter of intention and your individualized focus for the month, you will receive Daily Practice drills in both yoga and bellydance, a weekly check-in appointment with Deb (email or skype), and unlimited email access/support from Deb throughout the month for anything that may come up for you during the process. For groups of 6-20, the first month is only $60USD!  (That is only $2/day and less than the price of a coffee).  Email Deb to set up a training group in your area!  New groups starting May 1st in: Newcastle & Bryon Bay, Australia!
